Getting Started
How much does it cost to list my company?expand_more
Nothing. It's completely free for the first 6 months — no subscription, no commission, no credit card required. We're building the marketplace and need quality vendors. After 6 months, we may introduce affordable plans — but here's our promise: we won't charge a penny until we're actually generating leads for you. And before anything changes, we'll reach out to you personally with advance notice and a clear proposal of what the new terms would look like. No surprises, no automatic charges. You'll always have time to review and decide.
What data do you need from me?expand_more
Company name, contact info, service area (which counties or areas you cover), and pricing per unit type and rental period. We give you three options — pick whichever is easiest: (1) fill out our online form (takes 5-10 minutes), (2) fill in a simple Excel spreadsheet we'll send you, or (3) just email us your existing price list however you have it — PDF, screenshot, text in the email, whatever works. We'll format it on our end and come back with questions if anything is unclear.
Is there a contract or commitment?expand_more
No contract, no commitment. You can remove your listing at any time with one email. We don't lock anyone in.
What areas do you cover?expand_more
We're launching now and preparing the platform for 3-4 major metro areas, each with many surrounding towns and suburbs. The exact markets may shift as we grow, but we're focused on mid-size US metros where porta potty demand is strong and competition for online visibility is still wide open.

Do I have to show my prices publicly?expand_more
Yes — transparent pricing is the core of pottri. Here's the reality: customers already compare prices by calling 3-5 companies and asking the same questions. We simply digitize that process and make it faster for everyone. Based on research from other B2B industries, companies that show prices upfront tend to receive significantly more inquiries — because when people see a number, they're more comfortable reaching out. For example, TrustRadius research shows that B2B buyers increasingly prefer self-serve access to pricing before contacting a vendor, and a PriceGuide.ai case study documented a contractor going from near-zero website leads to 145 pricing requests in 8 weeks after adding transparent pricing. Think of it like Kayak or Google Shopping — you compare options side by side and pick the best fit.

Understandable concern. But here's the thing: your competitors already know your prices — customers call 3-5 companies and share quotes. pottri just makes the comparison transparent for the customer. And price isn't everything on pottri — your profile shows badges like Rush Delivery, Online Payments, Proof of Service Photos, ADA units, years in business. Hiding your prices doesn't protect you from competitors; it just makes you invisible to customers who are comparing.
Can I update my prices later?expand_more
Yes, anytime. For now, just send us an email with the updated pricing and we'll have it changed within 24 hours. Seasonal price adjustments, new unit types, updated service areas — no problem. In the future, you'll have your own vendor management panel where you can make all changes yourself directly.
How It Works
How do customers find and contact me?expand_more
Two ways. The "Check Availability" button triggers a direct phone call to the number you provide us — the customer connects with you immediately, no middleman. There's also a "Request a Callback" option where the customer leaves their name, phone number, and details, which gets sent to your email so you can follow up on your own schedule.
Do you handle large orders or bulk inquiries?expand_more
Yes. Customers who need multiple units — for construction sites, festivals, or large events — can submit a bulk inquiry through pottri with all the details: how many units, what type, delivery date, rental period. That inquiry gets sent to vendors who cover that area. You decide whether to respond or not — there's no obligation. But these tend to be high-value leads, and the customer has already provided everything you need to quote.
How many companies will you list in my area?expand_more
We limit it to 6-8 companies per region. This is intentional — showing 30 options overwhelms the customer and they end up choosing none. With 6-8 well-described companies, the customer can actually compare and make a decision. Fewer vendors = more leads per vendor, and better experience for the customer. That's why we're reaching out now — spots are limited.
What if my competitor is already on pottri?expand_more
Then your customers are already seeing your competitor's prices — but not yours. Being on pottri means you show up in the comparison. Not being there means you're invisible while your competitor gets the leads.
Will you take a cut of my sales?expand_more
No. Zero commission. When a customer contacts you through pottri, it's your lead, your sale, your money. We don't participate in the transaction at all.

How do you make money if it's free?expand_more
Right now we don't — we're investing in building the marketplace. The first 6 months are completely free. After that, we plan to introduce a monthly listing fee (which may vary depending on placement preferences) and potentially a small pay-per-lead component. But here's the key: we'll only start charging when we're actually delivering leads to you — because only then does it make sense for you to pay. Before any pricing changes take effect, we'll contact you personally with advance notice and a clear proposal of the new terms. Nothing will ever change automatically or without your knowledge. The revenue we generate goes back into marketing the platform, which means more traffic and more leads for you.
How is pottri different from Yelp, HomeAdvisor, or Google?expand_more
Those platforms list every type of business. pottri is built exclusively for porta potty rentals — pricing comparison, unit types, service frequency, delivery zones. A customer on pottri is specifically looking for a porta potty. That's a much higher-quality lead than someone browsing a general directory.
